The Daily Star in association with Brac Bank organized the 8th edition of ICT Awards. The event was enlightened by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services. This event was organized to acknowledge and celebrate the extraordinary achievements by IT entrepreneurs through their pivotal contributions in the ICT industry in the nation. A plethora of ICT firms are now well underway in creating a revolutionary landmark in the IT industry of Bangladesh, with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) envisaging a reach of 5 billion USD by 2025. The event was graced with the presence of Mahfuz Anam, publisher and editor of The Daily Star; Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of Brac Bank, and Russel T Ahmed, president of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).
