Secure Bangladesh's Digital Assets with Divine IT's Committed Services

Divine IT's Committed Security Services to CCA is Protecting the Nation's Digital Security

In an age defined by rapid technological advancements, the significance of cybersecurity cannot be overstated. Nowhere is this more evident than in the dynamic nation of Bangladesh, where we, at Divine IT Limited, are at the forefront of fortifying the digital domain and ensuring a secure and inclusive digital landscape for our fellow citizens.

Back in 2017, the government of Bangladesh made a firm commitment to strengthen cybersecurity measures and protect the nation's digital infrastructure. This declaration, known as the "Declaration 2017 on Strengthening Cybersecurity" laid the foundation for our steadfast determination to contribute to the advancement of cybersecurity in the country.

At the forefront of this groundbreaking initiative stands the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), an organization operating under the ICT Division of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology. Established in 2011, the CCA assumes a pivotal role in supervising and controlling all Certifying Authorities of Electronic Signature in Bangladesh.

The Office of the CCA envisions a cyberspace that is secure by implementing Digital Signature Certificates. Their mission is to facilitate secure information transitions while actively combating cybercrime. The CCA strives to create an environment where individuals, organizations, and institutions can confidently utilize the digital technologies while keeping their digital assets and information safe.

One notable ongoing project spearheaded by the CCA is the Establishment of CA Monitoring System (CAMS) and Security in the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities which commenced in 2019 and is expected to end this month in June, 2023.

CAMS aims to enhance the monitoring capabilities and strengthen the security infrastructure of the CCA.

As of now, the Office of CCA provided license to eight institutions named the Mango Teleservices Limited, Dohatec New Media, Data Edge Limited, Banglaphone Limited, Computer Services Limited, Bangladesh Computer Council, Bangladesh Bank, and Relief Validation Limited to issue Digital Certificates.

These institutions and their activities with the Office of Controller of Certifying Authorities can now be monitored to ensure end-to-end security from the Security Operations Center (SOC) established as part of this project.

We’re delighted to acknowledge the commendable leadership of the Project Director for CAMS. Under his guidance, the CAMS project has achieved milestones including the establishment of Cyber Incident Monitoring and Defense system for Certifying Authority. Additionally, the project has prepared a skilled cyber security technical team for the CCA and implemented Defense mechanisms against cyber attacks, thereby mitigating risks and establishing control as well as making the targeted IT infrastructure more secure from Cyber Attacks.

The accomplishments of the CAMS project under the guidance of the Project Director demonstrate a strong commitment to cybersecurity and displays the measures taken by the CCA to safeguard critical digital infrastructure in Bangladesh. Their dedication and achievements are worthy of appreciation and serve as an inspiration for the continued advancement of cybersecurity initiatives in our nation.

As a leading entity in the IT and software industry, Divine IT Limited has been actively engaged and working closely with the Office of the CCA. Recognizing the critical importance of cybersecurity, Divine IT Limited provided comprehensive support to the CCA in their mission to fortify Bangladesh's digital infrastructure.
