Embracing the digital era, CSBT, the dedicated financial institution for tea garden workers, has embarked on a collaborative journey with Divine IT Limited aiming to revolutionize the management of provident funds for tea garden workers through the implementation of PrismERP. The signing ceremony for the implementation was held on Friday (November 24) afternoon at the hall of the Tea Garden Workers' Future Fund office at Moulvibazar, Bangladesh with much excitement.
CSBT is supervised by a trustee board which is headed by the Director General, Department of Labour, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MOLE) in Bangladesh. Since its establishment in 1961, CSBT has been playing a crucial role in the financial well-being of its members. They enroll eligible Provident Fund (PF) members, protect and grow the fund through smart investments, share yearly interest, ensure smooth withdrawals for retired workers, and handle the workers’ overall financial management. Currently, CSBT oversees 161 tea estates and gardens (210 including FARI) across the country. They're taking care of the Provident Funds for 121,781 members (still active 90,625 + stopped 31,156) under these estates and gardens. These numbers are highly likely to increase over time.
As the horizon expands for them, the manual handling and processing of Provident Funds for a vast number of workers have become increasingly burdensome and time-consuming. In response to this challenge, CSBT is proactively taking steps to introduce an advanced cloud-based system. This initiative has led to their strategic collaboration with Divine IT Limited, where they are set to implement PrismERP. The implementation of PrismERP promises streamlined processes, reduced manual workload, enhanced efficiency, and a more responsive approach to Provident Fund management, ensuring a seamless and modernized experience for both CSBT and its members.
As we initiate the implementation process, Divine IT Limited looks forward with anticipation to observing the favorable outcomes this digital transformation will yield for Provident Fund management at CSBT. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the evolution of financial operations for tea garden workers, underscoring heightened efficiency and transparency in the management processes.
