In a significant step towards modernizing its operations, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has officially partnered with Divine IT Limited & Bizzntek Ltd. JV to digitally transform its Sample Vital Registration System (SVRS). The agreement, signed on February 19, 2024, marks a milestone in the efforts to streamline survey processes and enhance data collection and management.
Since its inception, the SVRS has been renowned for its high-quality survey, research, and services provided to local, national, and international communities. Recognizing the need for digital automation to further improve efficiency, the BBS has chosen Divine IT Limited & Bizzntek Ltd. JV to develop mobile and web applications tailored to the specific requirements of the SVRS survey.
The collaboration aims to implement vital modules such as Household Listing, Birth, Death, Marriage, In/Out Migration, Pregnancy Register, Disability, Contraceptive Use, and Early Child Development. These modules, equipped with features like Dynamic Dashboard, Submission Status, and Survey Live Locations, are set to revolutionize data collection processes and pave the way for seamless digital transformation.
1. Digital Transformation of Survey Operations: The development of a comprehensive Mobile Application (CAPI System) and Web Application will facilitate data collection, supervision, monitoring, management, processing, analysis, and reporting of vital registration data.
2. Enhanced Data Accuracy and Timeliness: By providing comprehensive training to upazila supervisors and local registrars, the partnership ensures the gathering of accurate data on vital events, guaranteeing timely submission to headquarters.
3. Insights into Demographic Shifts: Through the investigation of migration reasons at national, zila, urban, and rural levels, the partnership aims to provide valuable insights into demographic trends, enabling informed policy decisions.
The agreement underscores the commitment of both parties to modernize survey operations and harness the power of technology for improved data management and analysis. With Divine IT Limited & Bizzntek Ltd. JV at the helm of this digital transformation, the BBS is poised to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness in its vital registration efforts, ultimately benefiting communities across Bangladesh and beyond.
